TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Collingwood will hold a public meeting on Monday January 23, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

 

TAKE NOTICE that the applicant, Eden Oak (Raglan) Inc. has appealed these files to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) due to a lack of decision on the applications by the Town within the prescribed limits under the Planning Act. Therefore, this is not a Public Meeting under the provisions of the Planning Act. However, prior to taking a position on the applications before the OLT, Council wishes to hear comments and questions from the public in an open public forum. The meeting will follow a similar format as Public Meetings held under the Planning Act.

 

LOCATION: 452 Raglan Street

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Part of North Half of Lot 40, Concession 8 and Part of West Half of Lot 40, Concession 7, Parts 1 and 2, Plan 51R-3747, (former Township of Nottawasaga), Town of Collingwood, County of Simcoe

Area: 8.99 hectares

 

PROPOSAL: The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment would rezone the subject property from Deferred Residential (DR) to Residential Third Density (R3), Residential Third Density Exception (R3-X), Environmental Protection (EP), and Recreation (REC) to implement the Official Plan policies and facilitate the proposed Plan of Subdivision.

 

The proposed Plan of Subdivision is comprised of 21 lots for single detached dwellings and 24 blocks for 107 townhouse dwellings, for a total of 128 residential dwelling units. The proposal also includes a 0.49 hectare park block adjacent to the Collingwood/Clearview Rail Trail, a 2.87 hectare open space block adjacent to the Pretty River and associated buffers, a 0.15 hectare stormwater management area block, and three walkway blocks.

 

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment and/or Plan of Subdivision.
