WHEREAS Section 11(3)(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 as amended, provides Council the authority to enact by-laws to regulate parking and traffic subject to the Highway Traffic Act;
 
AND WHEREAS Council deems it expedient to amend By-law No. 03-62, a by-law regulating parking within the Town of Collingwood.
 
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
 
1.   THAT Schedule “A” of By-law No. 03-62, being a schedule respecting no parking areas in the Town of Collingwood, be amended to remove the following:

2.   THAT Part III – Parking Prohibited, of By-law No. 03-62 be amended to include:
 
(A) In Specified Places
 
(1) No person shall
 
oo) park longer than three (3) hours on Hurontario Street. The purchase of a validation permit from a Pay & Display machine located on Hurontario Street after parking or leaving a vehicle for three (3) consecutive hours on Hurontario Street does not exclude the owner or operator of that vehicle from receiving a Parking Infraction Notice.
 
3.   THAT Part I – Definitions, of By-law No. 03-62 be amended to include:
 
“unreasonable  length  of  time”  means  a  period  of  time  exceeding  48  (fourty-eight) consecutive hours and deemed unreasonable by an Officer;
 
4.  THAT this By-law shall come into full force and effect on the date of final passage hereof at which time all By-laws and/or resolutions that are inconsistent with the provisions of this By- law and the same are hereby repealed or rescinded insofar as it is necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law.
 
ENACTED AND PASSED this 7th day of April, 2015.
