Business for the Arts announced in January that Collingwood would benefit from an investment in sponsorship training and matching incentive grants for local arts and culture organizations through the artsVest Program. artsVest aims to strengthen arts and culture in Canada by building partnerships between the private and cultural sectors. With funding support from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Government of Canada, $30,000 in matching funds will be available to Collingwood arts organizations

Collingwood was first selected to participate in artsVest in 2013-2014. Five cultural organizations raised an incredible $69,890 in sponsorships from local businesses in just six months between September 2013 and February 2014. They received a total of $30,130 in matching grants from artsVest, creating an economic impact of over a $100,000 in combined sponsorship and matching funds.
